Grant Co. falls to Region 8 leader


braves_file_photoDRY RIDGE, Ky-Grant County was held to its second fewest point total of the season at home against Oldham County during KHSAA Region 8 action.

Oldham County was leading the region with Grant County trailing behind by five games.

Oldham led by three at halftime 23-20, and GC chopped that lead to one by the beginning of the fourth quarter.

The Colonels' J. Kopp led his team's scoring efforts with 15 points and nine rebounds and T. Wesley added 14 points with eight boards.

Braves' Trevor Hunt led all scoring with 16 points and eight rebounds. Teammates Brandon Shipp had 12 points and five boars and Andrew Hurley added 10 points with five rebounds. Tyler Carr was held to merely five points on the night and Lance Cummins added three.
