Nationally renowned trumpeter plays for a Rowan County High
School when it travels. The football teams quarterback
takes a special liking the player of sweet melodies.
7. Shhhhhh, It's Volleyball
Season
Student section at KHSAA Region 10 volleyball match is
hushed by referees.
6. Comeback fashion
Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts defeat Walton-Verona Bearcats in
first round of KHSAA playoffs 13-0. This came after the
Bearcats delivered a royal smack down earlier in the season
and practically humiliated the Jugs.
5. School Unity
Bishop Brossart united to raise money and bring awareness
for breast cancer outreach in Campbell County. A football
players mom was on of three sisters diagnosed with breast
cancer during the past 15 months.
4. Community Outreach
Dixie Heights Lady Colonels championed a basketball league
for girls who had no where to learn or play the game.
3. Saying, "So long"
Eight time state champion marching band director, Bob Greg,
retired from Williamstown High School.
2. In Memorium
Owen County High School's football and cheerleading teams
honored Rebekah Gaines. The late high school student lost
her battle to cancer during the 2011-12 school year.
