WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky-Bearcats win Region 8 All "A" tournament over Owen County. Each team had 21 points from 3-point range. WV's Taulbee scored 23 points and Sandlin had a double double with 13 pints and 14 rebounds. The difference in the game was defensive rebounding.

WILLIAMSTOWN, KY-Williamstown hosted Trimble County Friday night with hopes of getting to .500. The orange and black was coming off a devastating 33 point loss to arch rival Grant County earlier in the week. In that game, the Demons lost their big middle man Colton Simpson with a knee injury.

GCHS head coach, Jim Hicks talked about the victory, the Braves 8-5 record vs last year, and the upcoming game against Walton-Verona.

FORT MITCHELL, Ky-Holy Cross (3-1) upsets Beechwood (4-2) by outscoring the Tigers in every quarter to win by 20. HC's Jayden Julian led all scorers with 21 points on the night and BHS's Jessica Schilling led her team with 13 points.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky-The 2011-12 girls basketball season opener in Williamstown had everything: Scoring, lead changes, defense and a rookie head coach nabbing her inaugural victory.
"I wanted to just do well for them," said coach Kasey Kennedy.
Now her young team will look to define itself on the court. Not as a powerhouse, but what roles each player has within the team.
